  5. This is Kalkulator, a numerical utility for scientists,
  6. engineers, students and not only. It runs under Windows 3.1, NT
  7. and Windows 95.
  8.  
  9. Kalkulator is copyright ⌐ 1995-97 by J. Andrzej Wrotniak. The
  10. program is marketed as shareware: you are granted a trial license
  11. to use it for 30 days. After this time you have a choice between
  12. registering the program (purchasing a permanent license, $40) or
  13. removing it from your system. Details (discounts, registration
  14. benefits etc.) can be found in the Help file. CompuServe members:

  18. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS
  19.  
  20. Any computer capable of running Windows 3.1 or Windows 95 will
  21. do. A color VGA or SVGA monitor is required. A mouse is supported
  22. but not really necessary.

  24. The program files need about 1 megabyte of disk space.

  27. INSTALLATION
  28.  
  29. Create a new directory (any name, anywhere), copy all Kalkulator
  30. files to it. Done.
  31.  
  32. The program does not require any files not supplied in the
  33. distribution archive (except, of course, the standard parts of
  34. the Windows system). It does not create or modify any files
  35. outside of its own directory.

  40. Delete the Kalkulator directory with all the files inside it.

  62. README.1ST   - the file you are reading now
  63. ABOUT.TXT    - a short description of program features
  64. HOWTO.TXT    - a tutorial with a number of step-by-step examples
  65. WHATSNEW.TXT - the update history with the list of new features
  66. FILE_ID.DIZ  - a brief program description in a standard format
  67. VENDINFO.DIZ - info for shareware vendors and BBS operators
  68.  
  69. The last five files are not necessary for the program operation
  70. and can be safely deleted after reading. The sound  files also
  71. can be deleted if you do not care for sound effects in the
  72. program. Do NOT try to delete or replace the font files!

  74. Upon registration one more file will be included on your disk
  75. or sent to you via email:

  77. KALKUL.KEY - your personal registration key file, recognized by
  78. program updates; this is the file you are not supposed to
  79. distribute under terms of the license.
